CO₂ sensory kit

A reference kit for beverage-grade CO₂.

40 cápsulas · 8 notas extrañas · Out of stock right now

Forty sensory standard capsules: eight off-notes, five of each.

What is in it. Acetaldehyde, which reads as green apple. Motor fuel, diesel or petrol. Ethyl acetate, fruity and solvent-like. Fermented. Nonanal, fatty and waxy. DMS, cabbage. Hydrogen sulfide, rotten egg. And fish oil.

What it is for. The CO₂ that carbonates a drink is an ingredient like any other, and it can carry contamination. This kit trains a panel to catch it before it reaches the bottle.

It is used in the sensory workshops, and also sold on its own.

Experience

Exploratory beer and coffee tasting

A sensory session made to enjoy: method, yes; exam, no.

The experience
Poster for “The Yeast That Was Already Home”: an explorer seen from behind, in a hat and backpack, raises a glass of beer toward a misty mountain valley and a waterfall; coffee branches with red cherries in the foreground, and drying beds under shade netting by the river. Lettering: Saccharomyces pastorianus, 2026 · marzo, Néctar Nómada, BoqueteStory · 19 September 2025
