Royal Reserve

Guava wine

Guava fermented with honey. Tropical fruit from San Juan, Veraguas.

355 ml · 12% abv

Vino de Guayaba label: two guavas drawn in pen and ink, one whole and one halved showing the pink flesh, among flowering branches; below, the volume, the strength and «San Juan, provincia de Veraguas», and to one side the Royal Reserve seal with its crowned bee

Spontaneous fermentation, and with wine yeast. It is not only the yeast already on the fruit: wine yeast goes in with it. That is a different call from La Gobernadora, which in this same series is not inoculated.

The honey is bee honey.

Origin. San Juan, province of Veraguas. The same village as the cane mill, but not the same house and not the same people: the guava comes off a tree picked there each season.

355 ml, 12% abv.

Tasting note

Like a pétillant rosé, lightly sparkling, bright pink in the glass. Demi-sec in body, structured, with barrel notes underneath and a lingering finish.
