Royal Reserve

Pitahaya wine

Fermented pitahaya. Tropical fruit from La Chorrera, Panamá Oeste.

355 ml · 13% abv

Vino de Pitahaya label: the fruit halved to show the fuchsia flesh and its seeds, flanked by two dragon-fruit flowers drawn in pen and ink; below, the volume, the strength and «La Chorrera, provincia de Panamá Oeste», with the Royal Reserve seal alongside

Spontaneous fermentation, and with wine yeast. It is not only the yeast already on the fruit: wine yeast goes in with it. That is a different call from La Gobernadora, which in this same series is not inoculated.

It carries bee honey.

Origin. La Chorrera, province of Panamá Oeste.

355 ml, 13% abv.

Tasting note

The most intense in colour and in fruit: pitahaya forward, a deep reddish fuchsia. Medium-full body, semi-sweet.
